Volunteers and Friends of Nashoba Valley Medical Center
Volunteering and Giving Back to NVMC
The Friends of Nashoba Valley Medical Center
The Volunteer program consists of men, women and students from all of the towns in our service area. They experience a great deal of personal satisfaction from assisting in the care of the sick and injured. Whether or not they are in direct contact with patients, they enable us to provide extra services and comforts for patients and visitors that would be impossible without their help.
Volunteers currently serve in 25 different departments and participate in special events such as the Family Health Festival and Ladies Night Out. We always welcome Volunteers to join us at NVMC.
The “Friends” of Nashoba Valley Medical Center is a non-profit, active organization with a mission that includes: promoting the hospital to the communities at large and assisting the hospital in any way deemed advisable. Other functions of the “Friends” include managing the Gift Shop, overseeing the “Plants for Patients” program, and participating in special events. The “Friends” conduct fundraising activities that provide outreach to the residents of Nashoba Valley. This outreach enables them to award scholarships to high school students entering a career in any healthcare field and to assist senior citizen organizations in our eleven towns.
Membership in the “Friends” is open to all residents of the surrounding communities. For further information please call Human Resources at 978-784- 9318
